Archiving Policy statement for Global Perspectives on Japan

Global Perspectives on Japan is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To achieve this, we have established the following archiving policy:

Deposit in Long-Term Repositories: The journal will deposit all of its published content in an independent, long-term repository such as the Internet Archive, CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) or Portico digital archives. These repositories ensure that the content will be preserved and accessible even if the original publisher is no longer in business.

  1. Format Preservation: The journal will ensure that its published content is stored in open and accessible formats, such as PDF, to ensure that it will be readable and usable in the future.
  2. Regular Backups: The journal will regularly back up all of its published content and store it in secure locations to ensure that it can be retrieved in the event of any loss or damage.
  3. Permanent URLs: The journal will provide permanent URLs (DOIs) for all of its articles to ensure that they can be easily accessed and cited in the future.
By implementing these policies, Global Perspectives on Japan aims to ensure that its published content will be available and accessible to researchers, scholars, and the public for generations to come.
