Exhibition: 1565 – The Great Siege of Malta

The 450th anniversary of the Great Siege of Malta is commemorated by Heritage Malta with an exhibition between 5 Sep. – 6 Dec. 2015. The exhibition is now being held at the Grand Master’s Palace, Valetta.

Between 18 May-11 Sep, 1565, the Ottoman forces had  laid siege to the island held by the Order of St. John of Malta, and failed to capture it. Many interesting artifacts related to this incident will be in display during the exhibition.  More info…
